OUR DAD
DAN

This is our dad Dan, and we need your help.

WHO
is DAN?

A loving father & self-made business owner, Dan spent his earlier years establishing himself as a public accountant. He found a calling helping the public through the complexities of taxation & wealth planning. Dan was able to build his business over the years with one goal in mind, his future family. Along with his wife, Jayne, Dan had two children; PJ and Dylan. Having children a bit later in life enabled him to be a very active father. From day trips fishing to vacations in Disney, Dan was always there for his kids. Being a parent doesn’t end when your children get older, and Dan exemplifies this perfectly. Whether PJ needs help buying a house, or Dylan needs to move across the country, Dan is always there to offer valued advice and support.

The DIAGNOSIS

It has been incredibly difficult to watch our father manage kidney failure. He’s no longer the strong, independent man he once was, and it’s hard to see him struggle just to do basic things. Though he tries to stay positive, he is facing something out of his control. We can see the toll it takes, even if he doesn't speak about it much. It’s heartbreaking.

The ASK

Dan is a proud man who is more accustomed to offering help than asking for it. So we, his children, are here on his behalf seeking a kidney donation. We understand that kidney donation is a very serious request, and it’s not for everyone, but it can help many people in need. Even if you are not in a position to donate, please share this site and help spread awareness. We hope to reach as many people as possible. For our father and other kidney patients in need.

The WHY

I’ve always been told that I take after my dad.

As I take care of my dad, I’ve come to realize just how much of who I am is owed to him. He’s not just my dad, he’s my best friend, role model, and an all-around great guy. Throughout his life he has been able to influence many lives in a positive way, especially mine. There’s so much more I want to share with him, and so many more memories I want to create. Not just for me, but for my wife and our future child. Nothing would make my dad happier than meeting his first grandchild, and I hope I get to show him what kind of father I can be because of him.

All I hope is that my dad can walk me down the aisle.

As his condition has worsened, along with his mobility it has become my reality that this may not happen. There is so much more life to share with my dad and many milestones yet to come. More beach trips, more Yankee games, more travels abroad, and more pasta dinners. Without my dad, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today. He taught me, supported me, and guided me at every step of the way as I navigated through life and I want him to be there for all that is to come. My dad would be elated to be a part of my wedding and partake in making many new memories together.
